FAQ

Hi! Welcome. We’re glad you landed on this page. To us, that means you might be interested in getting to know us. We know visiting a new church can be awkward and uncomfortable. You might be unsure about our beliefs, times, or maybe our dress code (we don’t really have one… just wear something.) Below you’ll find answers to most questions you might have about our church family.

What to Expect

Our services include a cappella or “voices only” music. Our worship leader will lead the way. If you know the songs, please join in, if you do not, feel free to listen to the message in the words of the songs. We will have a Children’s Time where the kids will get a special message or play a game attempting to stump one of our adult members. You will here prayers led by one if the men in our church. We also serve communion or “The Lord’s Supper” every week. Any follower of Jesus is invited to partake. Another weekly practice is taking up an offering that goes to support the local work of Christ in this community. If you are a guest, you may participate if you would like, but please do not feel pressured to do so. The last thing you will experience is a biblically based message from our minister.

Our Mission

It will also be a mission of the church to actively seek those that are lost and guide them into a saving faith in Jesus Christ. This is the mission left to us by Jesus (Matthew 28:16-20). In moving forward with His mission, there will be new ideas and ministries to which we can play a part. This means that there may even be questions or misunderstandings, and as His followers, we are to endeavor to strive for unity and to seek answers together as revealed in God’s Word. In seeking God’s will, anytime what we are doing does not line up with Him, we will change. We ask that you walk down this path with us and seek God’s wisdom for yourself and draw closer to Him.

Communion

In our attempt to reflect the practice of the earliest church, the Endwell family observes Communion at least once each Sunday. The early Christians typically observed communion along with a common meal and sometimes it was daily (Acts 2). Paul told the Corinthians (1 Cor 11:24-26) the purpose is “proclaiming the Lord’s death until He comes”. This is our purpose as well.

Baptism

We teach baptism as the apostle Paul taught the Romans—in baptism, he says that we are baptized into Christ Jesus, into His death, united with Him, our old self is crucified with Him, our body of sin is done away with, we die to sin, and we are justified from sin. We rise out of the water as new creations, having been washed by the blood of the Lamb, and proclaim His resurrection.

A Cappella Singing

We are a congregation that hails from a long line of a cappella singing in our assemblies on Sunday mornings. We feel that anyone can participate in pouring their hearts out to God in song. We also encourage you to listen to Christian music as your music of choice as opposed to what the world has to offer. We hope that you can draw closer to Him in your times of worship whether on Sunday mornings or throughout the week.

In Leadership

We are a non-denominational church. Simply put, we seek to belong only to Christ. Our name is a descriptive term used to describe our affiliation with Him. We seek only to be loving, obedient to Jesus. We are an autonomous body of believers and have no organizational ties to any other local church. We have no hierarchy of church government or governing board beyond members of this local body of believers. We do seek cooperation and to be on good terms with other churches, but we are accountable only before God.

What to Bring

If you have a bible, we encourage you to bring it. If not, we have a Bible we would love to give you.

What to Wear

We have a very strict dress code: you must wear something…

What about my kids?

We are a great place for the whole family. We have a nursery for babies and toddlers that you can take them to during worship. We have Sunday School classes for kids and teens, as well as an age-appropriate worship service for children ages 4 to 8. Those who work with our children are highly trained. We want your kids to be edified and for you to learn and worship at ease.

9:30 Bible Classes

We have adult bible classes, as well as teen, college age, and children’s classes. Our classes are typically Bible studies, but also engage important cultural topics and are always conversational in nature. Feel free to ask questions and contribute.
